I initially wanted to be an architect, but fate led me to glass. I first stepped into a glassworks at the art school in Nový Bor – the heat, the light, and the rhythm of the work completely captivated me. I realized that glass is a material that tells the truth. It reveals everything you put into it—emotion, gesture, thought.
I'm fascinated by glass for its purity, depth, and ability to tell stories. It is both hard and fragile, demanding complete concentration, respect, and humility. But when you give it those things, it rewards you with a play of light, an optical spectacle, and a unique atmosphere.
Every object must have its own story. Not just form and color, but an inner meaning, too. When I create, I often combine vibrant colors with demanding cuts—it's this precise work that gives each piece its character. I believe that high-quality artistic design can naturally become a part of a space without overpowering it.
